I’ve had a lot of Strats come through, but every now and then you pick one up that just feels right immediately—and this particular one is exactly that kind of guitar.
This is a Fender American Vintage II ‘61 Stratocaster, and Fender really nailed the brief with this series. It’s not just a nod to vintage—it actually captures that early ‘60s Strat feel in a way that’s hard to explain until you have it in your hands. The Olympic White finish has that soft, slightly warm vintage hue that pairs perfectly with the mint guard and rosewood board—clean, timeless, and just flat-out classy.
The neck is where this one really shines. It has that early ‘60s “C” profile—substantial but not bulky—and it just sits naturally in your hand. Combined with the 7.25” radius and vintage tall frets, it gives you that broken-in feel right out of the case. This one’s been dialed in with a great setup—low, comfortable action and buttery frets that make it effortless to play up and down the board.
Plugged in, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for from a ‘61-style Strat. The Pure Vintage ‘61 pickups have that glassy top end, woody midrange, and that signature Strat “snap” on the attack. The neck is warm and expressive, the in-between positions have that classic quack, and the bridge cuts without getting harsh. It’s articulate, dynamic, and incredibly responsive to your touch.
Condition-wise, it’s about as clean as it gets—like new with the original plastics still intact. It’s essentially a fresh guitar that’s already been set up properly and is ready to go.
What stood out to me:
- Authentic early ‘60s Strat feel with the American Vintage II spec
- Beautiful Olympic White finish with a true vintage vibe
- Pure Vintage ‘61 pickups—glassy, articulate, and dynamic
- Comfortable early ‘60s “C” neck with a natural, broken-in feel
- Dialed-in setup with low action and smooth, effortless playability
- Like new condition with plastics and paperwork still in place
- Upgraded premium CNZ hard shell case included
If you’ve been chasing that true vintage Strat feel without dealing with actual vintage pricing or wear, this is exactly the lane. It’s one of those guitars that doesn’t need anything—just plug in and play.
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
