This is a 2024 Fender American Performer Telecaster in Honey Burst with the rosewood fretboard, and it’s a great example of why this series has become such an easy recommendation for players who want a real USA-made Fender without getting into the higher-end price tiers. The American Performer line hits a really nice middle ground—traditional enough to feel like a proper Tele, but with a few thoughtful modern touches that make it more practical as an everyday guitar.

The Honey Burst finish looks great in person. It has that warm amber center with darker edges that gives it a little more depth than a straight blonde or butterscotch-style finish, while still keeping the classic Tele simplicity intact. Paired with the black pickguard and rosewood board, it has a slightly darker and more understated look than the maple-board versions.

Factory-wise, this model came out of Corona, California with an alder body, a maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 9.5" radius, jumbo frets, Yosemite Tele pickups, a Greasebucket tone circuit. It also has the vintage-style Tele bridge with three brass saddles, which keeps that classic Tele snap and feel intact while still sounding full and lively.

The Yosemite pickups are a strong point on these. They keep the Tele character you want—bite, clarity, and attack—but they sound a little fuller and more refined than some of the more old-school, ultra-bright Tele sets. You still get the bridge twang and cut, but the neck pickup is warm and usable, and the extra wiring option gives you more to work with than a standard traditional Tele setup.

This one is in excellent shape overall. There are light finish scratches here and there, but nothing major—no serious dings, chips, or damage. The only specific thing worth noting is a small mark on the fretboard edge around the 9th fret. It’s a clean, well-kept guitar that presents very well.

Playability is strong. It has a recent setup, spot-on intonation, a straight neck, and no buzzing. I’d personally run the action just a little lower for my own taste, but it already plays clean and comfortably, so I left it alone. The frets are in excellent shape, and overall it feels like a guitar that’s ready to go right out of the gate. It includes the factory Fender gig bag.

Like all my guitars, this one has been personally inspected, tested, and played before listing. I’m not a big-box shop just moving inventory—I’m hands-on with every guitar that comes through, and I do my best to describe them honestly and thoroughly so you know exactly what you’re getting.

If you’ve been wanting an American-made Tele that covers the classics but gives you a little more flexibility and a really sharp finish, this is a strong one.
