Some guitars immediately catch your eye across the room, and this 2016 Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO in Honeyburst is definitely one of them. The flame maple veneer on these models can vary quite a bit from guitar to guitar, and this one ended up with a really beautiful top that shifts nicely in the light.
The Honeyburst finish fades perfectly from warm amber into darker edges, giving it that classic Les Paul look that has been turning heads for decades. It’s one of those finishes that never really goes out of style.
This model was part of Epiphone’s PlusTop PRO series, which added a number of upgrades over the standard Epiphone Les Paul models. The biggest one is the electronics — it’s equipped with Epiphone ProBucker pickups, designed to capture the character of vintage PAF-style humbuckers. They’re warm, articulate, and surprisingly dynamic.
Another really useful feature is the push/pull coil-splitting built into the volume knobs, allowing you to split the humbuckers and access convincing single-coil tones. Between the traditional 3-way toggle and the coil splits, this guitar actually covers a huge range of sounds — from thick Les Paul crunch to much brighter Strat-like textures.
The neck has the comfortable 1960s SlimTaper profile, which feels fast and easy to navigate, while the rosewood fingerboard and medium jumbo frets make bending and lead playing feel effortless.
This guitar has been freshly restrung, fully set up, frets polished, and the fretboard conditioned, so it feels smooth and dialed in the moment you pick it up.
Condition is excellent overall. There are a few light surface scratches here and there on the body and headstock, but nothing major at all — it has clearly been well taken care of. The flame top presents beautifully and really steals the show.
The only thing to note is that a couple screws are missing from the truss rod cover, which is an easy replacement if desired.

⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
