This Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro in Translucent Blue absolutely pops under light. The flame veneer comes alive when it catches the right angle — deep blues shifting from rich ocean tones to brighter electric hues. It’s one of those finishes that makes you stop mid-case-open and just stare for a second.

But this one isn’t just about looks.

I went through it properly. The finish has been buffed to bring back that gloss and depth. The frets have been polished to a smooth shine. The fretboard has been conditioned. Electronics cleaned. Then it received a good wax to really make that translucent top glow. It feels fresh and dialed in — not neglected and flipped.

Tone-wise, it’s punchy with clean mids and a great response. It has that classic Les Paul thickness but with clarity — chords stay articulate, single notes sustain beautifully, and it responds well to pick attack. Roll back the volume and it cleans up nicely; dig in and it pushes.

Condition is excellent. No major scratches, dings, or dents. Just some light finish scratches and minor wear you’d expect from normal playing — nothing through the finish, nothing structural, nothing distracting. It presents extremely well.

The neck feels comfortable and familiar — fast enough to move, substantial enough to feel solid. The frets are smooth after the polish, bends are easy, and action feels clean and controlled.

This is a lot of guitar for the money, especially in this condition and finish. It doesn’t feel like an entry-level piece — it feels like a proper, gig-ready Les Paul that’s been cared for.
