There’s something special about the mid-’90s Korean-made Epiphone Casinos, and this 1995 reissue is a perfect example of why these have become so sought after. Built during a period many players consider Epiphone’s high-water mark outside of the USA, these Casinos have a feel and responsiveness that newer versions often struggle to match.
Finished in a classic Vintage Sunburst, this one looks every bit the part—warm, rich, and perfectly aged without feeling worn out. Condition is excellent overall, especially for a nearly 30-year-old fully hollow instrument. There’s a small scratch that I’ve pictured and a few light smudges from normal handling, but nothing that detracts from the look or vibe. Structurally and cosmetically, it presents incredibly well.
The real standout here is the pickup upgrade. This Casino has been fitted with Lollar Dog Ear P-90s, which take everything this guitar already does well and push it further. They’re a bit brighter and more articulate than the stock pickups, with that unmistakable P-90 bite, chime, and dynamic response. Clean tones are open and airy, and when pushed, it growls in that raw, unmistakable Casino way—super touch-sensitive and alive under your hands.
Being fully hollow, this guitar resonates beautifully unplugged and absolutely blooms when amplified. It’s lightweight, balanced, and incredibly responsive, making it equally at home for jangly rhythm work, expressive leads, or gritty edge-of-breakup tones. This is the kind of guitar that reacts to how you play it—not just what amp you plug into.
These Korean-made Casinos are getting harder to find in this kind of shape, especially with a high-end pickup upgrade already done right. This one is priced to move, but it’s the kind of piece that won’t sit around long once the right player finds it.
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and fully insured
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
