I spent some seriously time and love on this description so I apologize for the rant upfront:

The 2019–2023 era Classics hit a really sweet spot in Gibson’s modern lineup.

This one has that unmistakable carved maple top over a solid mahogany body, finished in a rich Translucent Cherry that shows the grain beautifully under light. It’s bold without being flashy — classic, but with just enough depth and shimmer to feel alive. Under stage lights or natural daylight, the finish shifts and glows in a way that photos only partially capture.

The 2019+ Les Paul Classics brought back a more traditional feel while keeping modern versatility. This model features Gibson’s Burstbucker pickups (61R/61T), which are widely regarded as some of the best stock humbuckers Gibson puts in production guitars. They deliver that articulate, slightly hot vintage voice — tight low end, clear mids, and a top end that cuts without getting harsh. Roll the volume back and they clean up beautifully. Push them and they punch hard with authority.

One of the biggest selling points of this era Classic is the control layout. You get four push-pull pots offering coil-splitting, phase switching, and pure bypass. That means this isn’t just a straight rock machine — it’s surprisingly versatile. You can dial in single-coil-style sparkle, out-of-phase quack, or go full-throttle Les Paul growl instantly. For players who want more than just two humbucker sounds, this feature alone makes it stand out from earlier Classics.

The slim taper neck profile is fast and comfortable — not overly chunky, not too thin — just a very playable carve that works for long sessions. The bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays gives it that unmistakable Les Paul look, while the Grover tuners keep it stable and solid. The weight relief used in this generation keeps it resonant while making it more comfortable on the shoulder compared to fully solid, non-relieved models.

Condition-wise, this example is excellent. It presents extremely clean with minimal signs of wear and has a near-new presence in person. No major dings, no buckle rash, no distractions — just a well-kept instrument that’s clearly been treated properly. It’s been professionally set up and plays effortlessly with smooth, dialed-in action and great intonation up and down the neck.

Hardware is clean, electronics are quiet, and everything functions exactly as it should. It comes complete with the original Gibson hard shell case and case candy.

This is a modern Les Paul Classic done right — vintage aesthetics, upgraded electronics, real tonal flexibility, and that unmistakable Gibson feel. The Translucent Cherry finish on this one makes it especially hard to ignore.
