The figuring is especially strong through the center and upper bouts, with enough movement that the guitar looks noticeably different as it turns in the light.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Wood Library and Artist Package appointments continue well beyond the top. The mahogany neck has excellent flame and ribbon figuring running throughout its length, while the natural mahogany back has a rich, clean grain pattern of its own. The rosewood headstock veneer is another standout—it has one of the more dramatic and attractive grain patterns I have come across on a Wood Library PRS. Gold tuner buttons, hybrid gold and nickel hardware, abalone birds, and the matching Artist Package paisley case complete the presentation.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is equipped with its original PRS 58\/15 LT treble and bass pickups. These are lower-output, vintage-inspired humbuckers with an open response, excellent note separation, and enough warmth to keep the guitar from sounding overly bright. Each tone control is push\/pull for independent coil splitting, giving you convincing single-coil-style textures in addition to the full humbucker sounds. Between the two volume controls, two push\/pull tone controls, and three-way selector, this is an extremely versatile setup.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe McCarty 594 platform uses a 24.594-inch scale length, two-piece bridge, 22-fret layout, and PRS’s Pattern Vintage neck carve. The neck has a substantial medium-thick feel without being cumbersome, and the additional shoulder makes it feel especially comfortable in the hand. The neck is straight, the action is low, the frets feel buttery, and the intonation is spot on.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis guitar is in excellent, near-new condition and has clearly seen very little play time. The body, neck, back, frets, and hardware all present extremely well, with no major dings, scratches, repairs, breaks, or structural concerns.
