I hadn’t seen this color before getting this one in, and it is much better in person than the name even suggests.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe center is a pale key-lime\/cream color that fades into a much stronger green around the perimeter, with fine sparkle running through the finish. Under normal room light it already stands out, but direct light really brings the metallic effect to life. It is unusual without feeling overdone, and the cream plastics and amber knobs work perfectly with it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eUnderneath the finish, it still feels exactly like what I want from a good Les Paul Standard ’60s. The neck is slim and comfortable, the frets feel buttery, and the current setup passed inspection exactly as it came in. Action is comfortable, intonation is spot on, and the frets are in excellent condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt weighs \u003cb\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e9.47 lbs on my scale\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e, so it has that substantial Les Paul feel without being unusually heavy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe original electronics passed my complete inspection with no issues. It has plenty of that familiar Standard ’60s punch and clarity, with a strong bridge sound and a fuller neck position without getting muddy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBeing a \u003cb\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGibson Mod Shop guitar\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e, it has the factory \u003cb\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e“MOD” stamp on the back of the headstock\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e. This is not an aftermarket refinish or somebody’s home modification.
